In drawing and painting from life, I labor in order to see and to love.

I was born in 1965 to a family of eleven in Webster Groves, MO. In 1993, I married my wife, Margaret Killeen, in Lawrence, KS where she studied art history and I painting. Our shared passion for spiritual formation led us to seminary. For eight years as a pastor and fifteen as counselors, we have sat with people in pain. Through it all, drawing and painting has challenged me to search for and respond to beauty in its deepest sense.

My prayer is that these works evoke courage to love.
